In most cases, Naturtint Permanent Hair Color can be applied over other permanent hair color brands—as long as they do not contain metallic salts or progressive dyes. These types of dyes can interfere with the coloring process and may lead to unpredictable results.
For best results, we recommend waiting 2–3 weeks between permanent hair color treatments.
What About Other Hair Color Types?
If you've used semi-permanent, demi-permanent, temporary rinses, henna, or hair mascara, allow the product to fully wash out or grow out before applying Naturtint Permanent Hair Color. Residual pigments from these products may affect your final color result.
Permed or Relaxed Hair?
If your hair has been permed or chemically relaxed, wait at least 2–3 weeks before applying Naturtint to give your hair time to recover and ensure better color uptake.
Always Do a Strand Test
Before applying any permanent color, we strongly recommend performing a color strand test to preview your results and ensure you're happy with the shade.
