Permanent Hair Color
-
- This coloring method uses chemicals to lift the hairs' cuticles and insert micro pigment molecules into the hair shaft- permanently restructuring the hair.
- Naturtint permanent hair colors contain no ammonia and only high-quality ingredients with many naturally derived ingredients to nourish the hair during and after the coloring process.
- This method is quite effective for coloring gray hair.
- Fading usually begins between three and six weeks, depending on the condition of the hair, the aftercare products used, and environmental factors.
- Approximate application time: 30-40 minutes.
- Naturtint permanent hair color can be applied over other permanent hair colors except for metallic containing, progressive dyes.
Please note that Naturtint USA does not currently offer the following types of hair coloring products, and this is for informational purposes only:
Demi-permanent Hair Color
-
- This method does not lift the cuticle and deposit in the hair shaft like permanent hair color- the hairs' cuticles are only slightly lifted, and the large color molecule is lodged between the outside and the inside of the hair shaft.
- The most significant difference between semi and demi is the level of permanency. Demi-permanent lasts up to four to six weeks.
- Approximate application time: 30-45 minutes
- Because of the outside coating on the hair shaft, Naturtint permanent hair colors cannot penetrate through this type of hair color. Before coloring, you must wait until the demi-permanent color has completely washed out or grown out.
Semi-permanent Hair Color
-
- This coloring method has fewer chemicals than permanent hair color, and the cuticle is not lifted, only coated with the color.
- Semi-permanent is not always adequate for coloring gray hair.
- Semi-permanent color is temporary and will begin to wash off within one to two weeks.
- Approximate application time: 20-40 minutes
- Because of the outside coating on the hair shaft, Naturtint permanent hair colors cannot penetrate through this type of hair color. You must wait until the semi-permanent color has completely washed out before coloring.
Powder Henna Hair Color
-
- This method is the only chemical-free way to color your hair.
- Powdered Henna is made from plants, but black henna sometimes contains a chemical PPD-derived color pigment.
- Not always the best for gray coverage.
- Henna only coats the outer layer of the hair strand, and the coating will start to fade after four to six weeks, but the color can be hard to remove from the hair.
- Approximate application time: 3 to 7 hours
- Because of the outside coating on the hair shaft, Naturtint's permanent hair colors cannot penetrate through this type of hair color. You must wait until the henna color has been completely washed out or grown out before coloring.
Temporary Hair Color Rinse or Hair Mascara
-
- This coloring method has fewer chemicals than permanent hair color, and the cuticle is not lifted, only coated with the color.
- This color is temporary and will typically completely wash off within one shampoo.
- Approximate application time: 5-10 minutes.
- Naturtint permanent hair color will not properly color hair that has a coating of these products. You must wait until they have completely washed out before coloring.
